Tommie Lee Foster, 86, of Dalton; passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Foster; parents, Harvey and Della Foster; sisters, Rosada Robinson, Ruth Johnson, Frances Godfrey, Sybil Brown, Mabel Alexander, Faye Davenport; brother, Ovit Foster.
She was a lifetime member of Grove Level Baptist Church and a member of the Varnell Homemakers. She worked for Whitfield County Schools in the cafeteria for more than 20 years. She enjoyed life to its fullest and she adored both her sons.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Olan Foster of Jasper and Alan and Diane Foster of Madison, Ala.; sister, Mary Nell Elliott of Dalton; sister-in-law, Frances Foster of Marietta; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Troy and Marlene Foster of Cumming and Gordon Franklin of Dalton; grandchildren, Jon and Brooke Foster, Kimberly and Austin Jones, Abra and Matt Phillips, Josh and Toni Foster; great-grandchildren, Ali Phillips, Caden and Carter Foster and baby Lucy expected in August; special caregiver who loved her very much, Nancy Stamey; nieces and nephews.
The funeral to honor the life of Mrs. Foster will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Walker officiating.
Interment will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 9 p.m.
