Mr. Edward Lee Johnson, 60, of Brandon, Miss., departed this life Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Miss.
Edward was born on Oct. 23, 1953, in Ball Ground.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Helen Callahan Johnson; brother, Jimmy Johnson; a sister, Sheila Phillips. He was also preceded by his wife, Teresa Pam Johnson.
Edward is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Brandi Johnson of Madison, Miss.; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Steve Stanley of Talking Rock; brothers, Calvin Johnson of Dawsonville, David Johnson of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Carol Perry of Union City, Tenn., Teresa Goode of Dawsonville, Barber Ross of Alto. He had seven grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Edward Lee Johnson will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Ponders Fairmount Chapel with the Rev. Gene Tatum officiating.
He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Lake Forest Memorial Park Cemetery in Jasper with Brent Goode, Cameron Hughes, Trent Goode, Andy Perry, Chris Meissner, Justin Brown and Doyal Williams serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Ponders Funeral Home in Fairmount and noon on Saturday until the hour of service.
