Audre Marty Butler-Beattie, 81, of Cohutta, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013, at her home.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Beattie of the residence; daughter, Michele Butler of Marquette, Mich.; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Babette Butler of River Hills, Wis.; Christopher and Amy Beattie of Algonquin, Ill., and Darren Beattie of Chicago; grandchildren, Morgan Rene Beattie, Brent Larson Butler, Kristen Larson Butler and Brian Larson Butler.
Audre was a member of the historic Dalton Lesche Literary Club, active member of the Creative Arts Guild, member and past president of the Dalton Herb Society, member and past president of the FAN Club. She participated in the Highland Forest Book Club and Garden Club. She played in several bridge clubs. She attended Bible study at Varnell Methodist Church. Audre was also a volunteer with the Roman Open Charities for many years. She and her husband Bob loved to cruise.
The funeral to honor the life of Mrs. Beattie will be Friday at 3 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven Streett officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1 p.m. until the service hour at 3 p.m.
