Tyler Jeffrey Skelly

Mr. Tyler Jeffrey Skelly, 26, of Dalton, departed this life Tuesday morning, April 29, 2014, at the V.A. in Atlanta. Tyler was born March 3, 1988, in Hayward, Calif. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his mother, Stacy Skelly of Dalton, and brothers, Christian Skelly of LaFayette, Dylon Skelly of Chickamauga and Carter Skelly of Harrison, Tenn. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Bob and Joan Evans of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.; paternal grandparents, Rich and Reajean Skelly of Redding, Calif.; aunt and uncle, Rochelle and Matt Meintz of Huntington Beach, Calif.; cousins, Amanda and Nathan Meintz of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and a nephew, Wryn Skelly of Chickamauga.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Tyler Jeffrey Skelly will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Guffey officiating.

He will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga with full military honors on Monday at 2 p.m.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel on Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m.
