Pvt. 2nd Class Christopher “Cale” Wooten, 20, of Stafford, Va., and formerly of Calhoun, of the 1-50th Delta Company of the United States Army, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kjersti S. Jones; great-grandfather, Burley J. Ogle; great-grandfather, Theodore Patterson; great-grandmother, Winnie Lee Patterson; great-uncle, David Patterson.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sgt. Maj. Mark A. Kelley and Tabitha D. Kelley of Stafford, Va.; father and his fiancée, Christopher E. Wooten and Jackie V. Boling of Calhoun; three sisters, Karri M. Wooten and Beth Kelley of Stafford, Va., and Airman 1st Class Blaire Kelley of Lackland Air Force Base, in San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Sampson A. Wooten of Calhoun and Blake Kelley of El Paso, Texas; special aunt and uncle, Alacia and Aaron Patterson; special uncle Randy Williams; great-aunt, Ann Ogle Bradley and Beverly Ogle Higgins; great-grandmother, Ollie P. Ogle; uncles and cousins.
The funeral service to honor the life of Pvt. 2nd Class Christopher “Cale” Wooten will be Friday at 4 p.m. at Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise with the Rev. Tony Bishop and the Rev. Jeremy Southers officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m.
Cale wished to be cremated.
