Bobby L. Hunter, 81, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013.
Bobby was the former owner of Associated Electronics of Lilburn from 1971 to 1999. He served four years as a U.S. Marine in the Korean War receiving the Purple Heart medal during that time. He joined the U.S. Air Force, where he worked as an air traffic controller, and retired from the military after 21 years of service. He was a member of Ancient Landmark Masonic Lodge No. 231 of Savannah.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 57 years, Emma Evelyn (Goswick) Hunter; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Anne Hunter-Begelman, Craig Begelman of Monroe; son, David Scott Hunter of Round Rock, Texas; one sister-in-law and husband, Doris and Delbert Ausmus of Dalton; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A graveside service honoring the life of Bobby L. Hunter is today at 4 p.m. at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel.
