Ronald Rose

Mr. Ronald Rose, 70, of Fayetteville, Tenn., formerly of Dalton, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014, at his residence following a few months of illness.

Ronald was born April 13, 1944, in Somerset, Ky., to the late James and Dorothy Rose.

He served in the United States Air Force for four years. He later moved to Dalton where he met his wife, Evelyn Brown. They were married Sept. 10, 1966. They were married for 38 years until her death in 2005. She was the love of his life. He was a great father, son and brother and will be greatly missed by us all.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; his parents, James and Dorothy Rose; a brother, James (Jitter) Rose; and special nephew, Toby Joe Rose.

He is survived by his son, Ralph (Tammy) Brown of Fayetteville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Jack Brown of Huntsville, Ala., Dustin McCoy of Fayetteville, Tenn., Andy Brown of Athens, Ala., and Whitney Brown of Fayetteville, Tenn. He is also survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy of Rocky Face, Dickie (Carol) of Columbus and Johnny (Bycee) of Somerset, Ky.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda (Glen) Wheet of Eubanks, Ky., Alice (Mike) Watkins of Rocky Face and Myrna (Jim) Withers of Rocky Face; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Rose will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Watkins officiating.

The family will receive friends today at 4 p.m.
