Johnny Caldwell

Johnny Caldwell, 59, of Rocky Face, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Caldwell, and brother, Ronnie Caldwell.

He worked for more than 40 years in the tufting industry. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Amber Caldwell and Scott Ruttan of Watertown, N.Y., Jillian and Gamo Munguia of Covina, Calif., and Jennifer and Scott Cavanaugh of Cleveland, Tenn.; one son and his spouse, Matthew and Michelle Caldwell of Powder Springs; mother of his children, Teresa Caldwell of Upland, Calif.; mother, Mary Caldwell of Rocky Face; two sisters, Ramona Cornelison of Dalton and Sherry Caldwell of Rocky Face; two brothers, Steve Caldwell of Rocky Face and Michael Caldwell of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Easton Munguia and Hannah McClain; and great-nephew, Drake McNelley.

The funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Caldwell will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Johnson and the Rev. Jimmy Floyd officiating.

Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be rendered by American Legion Post No. 112.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m.
