Mr. Clyde Eugene “Possum” Weaver, 67, of Chatsworth passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at Hamilton Medical Center.
Mr. Weaver was a member of the Murray County Coon Hunters Club where he served as the master of hounds. He was inducted into the Coon Hunters Hall of Fame and he attended Amazing Grace Baptist Church.
Mr. Weaver is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Viola Weaver; sisters, Barbara Weaver, Wanda Weaver and Kathy Greeson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Dimple Weaver; children and spouses, Clydene and Phil Howell, Angela and Gary Blaylock, Garland and Vickie Weaver, all of Chatsworth and Kenneth and Kim Weaver of Dalton; grandchildren, Laura Arnold, Whitley Weaver, Cody Weaver, Jon Michael Blaylock and Logan Weaver, great-grandchildren, Cash Arnold, Riley Weaver, Bentley Weaver, Gunner Clyde Arnold; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Mary Weaver of Chatsworth; sister, Jerolene Gray of Chatsworth and several special friends.
Services for Mr. Weaver will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Easley officiating.
Interment will be in the Reed-Morrison Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today after 5 p.m.
