Mr. Cecil Dewayne Caldwell Sr., 57, of Dalton, departed this life Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at his home.
Cecil was born July 16, 1956, in Dalton, a son of the late R.B. “Bud” and Margie “Midge” Knight Caldwell.
Cecil was formerly employed at Shaw Industries and was a member of Church of God of the Union Assembly.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deborah Sneed Caldwell of the home; daughters, Tosha Capehart and Tammy Caldwell; sons, Dewayne Caldwell and Timmy Caldwell; grandchildren, Brandon, Tanner, Alex, Shania, Tristen, Keligh, Asia, Brooklyn, Devon, A.J. and Logan; great-grandchildren, Sophia and David; brother, Jessie Caldwell; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Cecil Dewayne Caldwell Sr. will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Rev. Charlon Bradford officiating. He will be laid to rest at Little Prospect Memorial Cemetery.
His close friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
