Patricia ‘Pat’ Duncan Ausmus

Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Duncan Ausmus, 77, of Chatsworth, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013.

Pat was a member of the Whitfield-Murray Historical Society, a co-chairman of the Depot Committee, the founder of Pat’s Antiques, an active member of the Murray County High School Alumni Association, a member of the Friends of the Chatsworth-Murray County Library and the former branch manager of the Chatsworth-Murray County Library. She was of the Methodist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C.L. and Cora Anderson Duncan; a brother, Deward Lee Duncan; and a son, David Bryan Ausmus.

Survivors include her husband, James Ralph Ausmus; son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Sonya Hemphill of Chatsworth; daughters and son-in-law, Dianne Hemphill Davis and Jerry Davis of Chatsworth, and Deborah Ausmus of Chatsworth; sister and brother-in-law, Marlene Duncan Foster and Troy C. Foster of Cumming; grandchildren, Tanner Kirk Hemphill and Tucker Kody Hemphill; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Pat will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. from the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. George B. Ross and the Rev. Troy Foster officiating.

Interment will follow in the Holly Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Ausmus.
