Verlie Lionel Eller

Verlie Lionel Eller, 90, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013.

Verlie was born Dec. 25, 1922, in Fannin County. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theater and was in the Battle of the Bulge.

Verlie and his wife Wilma moved to Arizona in 1967. He was the owner of Eller’s Upholstering in Chandler.

Verlie was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Wilma; a brother, Elmo and sisters, Jean Davis and Bonnie Bates.

He is survived by his daughters, Anna Marie Bliss of Mesa, Ariz., Lauren (Dan) Liggett of Houston, Texas and two grandchildren, Amy White of Dallas, Texas and Jeremy Liggett of Forth Worth, Texas.

There will be a visitation at Falconer Funeral Home in Gilbert today from 6 to 8 p.m.

Services will be at Southeast Valley Baptist Church in Gilbert Monday at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the International Baptist College and Seminary, 2211 W. Germann Road, Chandler, AZ 85286
