Mr. Scott Edwards, 48, of Dalton, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013, at Hamilton Medical Center.
Scott played and coached at Dalton Parks and Recreation Department. He was an avid sportsman playing football, baseball, tennis and golf, loved to fish and was a member of Dalton Bass Masters fishing club. Scott loved all Dalton High School athletics and Ringgold Tiger baseball. When Scott walked into a room his bright blue eyes and big smile brought joy into your life.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Lorene Edwards.
He is survived by his daughter, Emily Ann Edwards of Dalton; parents, Garry and Tami Edwards of Dalton; one brother, Ty Edwards of Dalton; grandparents, Bob and Jeanne Davidson of Dalton, Lloyd Edwards of Springfield, Mo.; uncles and aunts, Michael and Joyce Triola of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., Larry and Nancy Edwards of Corpus Christi, Texas, Bill and Gail Major of Palm Coast, Fla.; cousins, Rick Edwards of Kansas City, Mo., Maeghan McKenzie of Charlotte, N.C., Aubrey Johnson of Buffalo, Mo., and Sabrina Gibson of St. Louis, Mo.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Hamilton Medical Center for their kindness during a difficult time.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. from Rock Bridge Stage 123 with Matt Evans officiating. Interment will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Rock Bridge Monday from 9 a.m. to the funeral hour and continue after the service to 2 p.m.
