James Roy Gazaway, 54, of Villanow, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Chloe Mae Schisler.
James had a great sense of humor and was a great brother, son, father, grandfather and husband. He was always there for others when they needed him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Gazaway of the residence; one daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Mike Schisler of Villanow; parents, Waymon and Eva Gazaway of Dalton; one sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Darrell Ogles of Dalton; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Sonya Gazaway, Eddie and Debbie Gazaway, and Charles and Vivian Gazaway, all of Dalton; two grandchildren, Ty Schisler and Alexis Schisler; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mr. Gazaway will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Chandler officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ken Gazaway, Chuck Blevins, Bruce Gazaway, Danny Gazaway, Jake Franks, Craig Taylor and Tim Gazaway.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 9 p.m.
Burial will be in White Cemetery.
