Ms. Doris Dial, 63, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday morning, May 1, 2013, at Hamilton Medical Center.
Doris was born on Dec. 8, 1949, in Kingsport, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin E. Dial; her parents, Grandpa and Ruth Williams; a daughter, Deloris Williams; a granddaughter, Candace Williams; a sister, Anette Williams; a brother, Lewis Williams.
Doris is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, James and Kim McDowell of Dalton and Billy Joe and Sherry McDowell of Louisville, Ky.; a daughter, Darlene McDowell of Dalton; a sister, Edna Brewer of Kingsport, Tenn.; a brother, Elmer Williams of Kingsport, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral to celebrate the life of Ms. Doris Dial will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with the Rev. Junior Clayton and James McDowell officiating.
Interment will be at Colonial Hills Memorial Park in Dalton. Josh Bailey, Robbie Hall, Mike Dyer, Anthony Callahan and Keith Nicholson will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 9 p.m.
