Pauline Lott Hyatt

Mrs. Pauline Lott Hyatt passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Morningside of Dalton, her residence for the last five years, not far away from her beloved home in LaGrange.

She was born in Sargent on Oct. 17, 1919, the daughter of the late Claude and Idema Lott and she was preceded in death by her husband, William Peter Hyatt Sr.; brothers, Woodrow Lott, Claude Lott and Billy Lott; and sisters, Ruby Lott Petty, Rilla Lott Turner, Sara Lott Frye, Dorothy Lott Waid and Betty Lott Bradley.

Polly is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William Peter Hyatt Jr. and Nancy Hyatt of Dalton; son, Bobby Dan Hyatt of LaGrange; granddaughter, Carrie Hyatt Hulsey (Michael) of Sharpsburg; grandsons, William Peter Hyatt III (Tanya) of Charleston, S.C., and Paul Hyatt of LaGrange; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Polly was a member of the First Baptist Church on The Square of LaGrange where she sang in the senior choir and was a member of Merry Makers. She also loved to go to the senior center, where she would meet and sing with friends. She loved to travel with her senior tour group and took many trips along the East Coast.

Visitation will be Sunday at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home Chapel, 506 Hill St., LaGrange, GA 30240; (706) 884-5626.
