Ronnie Lee Stover, 64, of Dalton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, June 28, 2013, due to mesothelioma. He donated his body to Emory University School of Medicine.
He was preceded in death by his father, Toy Stover, and his mother, Gerthal Stover.
He is survived by his two daughters, Shanelle Stover of Dalton and Kendra Stover of Cohutta; the mother of his children, Cherylene Dunlap of Chatsworth; two brothers and wives, David and Debbie Stover of Chatsworth, and Roger and Kathy Stover of Dalton; six grandchildren, Trevin Stover and wife, Megan Stover, Taylor Godfrey, Aja Stoner, Savannah McCraw, Kristun McCraw and Josalyn Stover; great-grandson, Brycen Godfrey; best friend, Walter Register; and nephews, Chris, Darrell, Johnny and Adam Stover.
A memorial service to honor his life will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Chatsworth courtesy of his cousin, Elder Wendell Stover. Wendell, Roger and Darrell Stover will officiate.
Ronnie Stover proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1970 to 1972 and was a member of the Baptist community.
