Mr. James M. Mullinax of Chatsworth passed away on June 12, 2013, at his residence.
James was born on Nov. 3, 1940, in Whitfield County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Mullinax and Cleo Ball; a brother, E.F. Mullinax Jr.; mother and father-in-law, Bill and Evelyn Kirk.
James is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Billie Mullinax; daughters and sons-in-law, Liz and Dee Swanson, Dana and David Burch, and Gail Cloer, all of Chatsworth; a son, James Mullinax Jr. of Chatsworth; a sister, Emma Bolden of Huntsville, Ala.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Nikki and Chris Dyer, Andrew Dyer, Cody and Trina Leonard, Carson Leonard, Haivyn Leonard, Peyton Leonard, Allen Burch, Stephanie Swanson, Millie Whitener and Kathryn Cloer; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Rhonda Cloer.
A funeral to celebrate the life of Mr. James Mullinax will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Hudson Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Brother Robert Chambers officiating.
Burial will be at Holly Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Chatsworth. Cody Leonard, Chris Dyer, Buster Cloer, Tony Banks, Marty Banks and Brian Whitener will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
