Fae B. Rhudy

— Mrs. Fae B. Rhudy, 84, of Dalton, departed this life Monday, April 7, 2014, at her home.

Mrs. Rhudy was born Feb. 5, 1930, in Rossville. Jessie Fae was the daughter of the late Eunice Dean and Sanford “June” Blair of Cleveland, Tenn.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Herbert D. Rhudy; a brother, Coy Cleatus Blair; grandparents, Josephine Pilgrim and William Levi Dean, and Fanny Hayes and William “Billy” Blair; and great-grandparents, Emily Haney and John Pilgrim.

Fae’s favorite hymn was “A Beautiful Life” which conveyed the message she tried to live her life by every day: “Each day I’ll do a golden deed.”

Mrs. Rhudy is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa J. Rhudy and Scott A. Hambright; sons and daughters-in-law, Herbert D. Rhudy Jr. and Tracy, and Sanford W. Rhudy and Misty; grandchildren, Heather M. Dunn, Kenneth L. Rhudy and Jessica A. Rhudy; and great-grandchildren, Sarah Wallace and Abigail Russell.

At her request, she will be cremated and a private family service will be held later.
