Mr. Mark Alan Holcomb, 51, of Dalton, departed this life Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at home with his wife at his side.
Mark was born Feb. 8, 1961, in Dalton, a son of the late Clarence Hubert Holcomb Sr. and Tommie Lou Fain Holcomb. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Jackson and Hubert Holcomb.
Mark loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and go boating. He also loved to work on cars.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Veronica Worth Holcomb of Dalton sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Adam and Mindy Holcomb of Ringgold, Zachary and Charlana Holcomb of Dalton; brother, Charles Holcomb of Dalton; sisters, Janice Hardin of Atlanta; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Dwight Wood of Calhoun; grandchildren, Kileigh Weaver, Xander Holcomb, Tristen Holcomb, Anniston Holcomb; a special niece, Jayde “Baby Girl” Wilson; mother-in-law, Ruth Ann Worth of Ringgold; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Cathy and Derek Brown of Adairsville, Beverly and Dewayne McCallie of Ringgold; special brother-in-law, Jim Bob Worth of Dalton; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mark Alan Holcomb will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Rev. Marty Cooper and the Rev. Mike Crumbly officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
