Duluth King, 90, of Varnell, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Carl King; mother and father, Duke and Minnie Richardson, sisters and brothers-in-law, Dolly and Ernest Fletcher, Margie and Henry Pierce, Zeta O’Bryant, and brother, Duke Richardson.
She was a member of Varnell Baptist Church.
She enjoyed cooking and canning vegetables. She loved her family very much.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Gallman of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Jackie King of Marietta and Roger and Phyllis King of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Greg and Christie Gallman, Angela and Greg Starks, Christopher and Kim King, Alex King, Milissa and Josh Clowers, Katharine King and Christopher and Stacey Nations; great-grandchildren, Gabriela King, Ashtyn Grace King, Emma Claire King, Audrey Kate King, Garrett Gallman, Easton Gallman, Ryder Clowers, Dawn Rose Starks, Annika Starks, Jackson Nations and Emory Nations.
The funeral to celebrate the life of Mrs. King will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike King officiating.
Burial will be in Varnell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m.
