Willie Mae Baynes Gallman

Mrs. Willie Mae Baynes Gallman, 90, of Dalton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her beloved family.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the organist for 77 years. Willie Mae was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister and friend.

She is preceded in death by her son, Wayne Gallman; parents, William Amos “Bill” and Dessie Mae Fox Baynes; sisters, Frances Bramblett and Christina Kilgore; brother, Grover Lee Baynes; and nephew, Terry Brindle.

She is survived by her stepmother and best friend, Margie Baynes; children and spouses, Hazel and Bobby Parks, Cheryl and Jim Lairsey; daughter-in-law, Pat Gallman, all of Dalton; grandchildren and spouses, Celynda and Gary Tadlock of Roswell, Angelia and Brent Dean of Dalton, Anthony and Cassie Gallman of Chatsworth; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Hartley, Keith Hartley, Maclean Tadlock and Mackenna Tadlock; sisters and brothers-in -law, Savannah “Bunny” and Regnal Brindle of Chatsworth, Harold Ridley of Chatsworth, Dimple and David Forrest of Yatesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, William “Sonny” and Joyce Baynes of Dalton, Harold and Ann Baynes of Dalton; special niece, Cindy Green; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

The funeral for Mrs. Willie Mae Gallman will be Friday at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Tadlock and the Rev. Levoyd Whitten officiating. Interment will be in Williams Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today after 6 p.m.
