H. Eugene “Gene” Tapley, 73, of Chattanooga, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013.
A longtime resident of Chattanooga, Gene was owner of CTM Consulting Engineers and Chem-Tex Machinery since 1976.
He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a proud graduate of Georgia Tech.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Sybil Tapley.
Survivors are his wife, Barbara K. Tapley; children, Joel (Jennifer) Tapley, Atlanta, and Marla (Ken) Bridges, Chattanooga; grandchildren, Nicole (Daniel) Cholota, Kristen Tapley, Kenzie Tapley, Cadi and Cody Roach; great-grandson, Hayden Goodner; numerous friends and associates.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. J. Render Caines officiating. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
