Robert ‘Bob’ Wooten

Robert “Bob” Wooten, 83, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013.

Bob loved camping and was the Wagon Master of the Cherokee Family Camping Club for 44 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Margaret Teasley Wooten of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sylvia Wooten of Summerfield, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Shawnee and Carlton Williams of Fayetteville; sister, Inez Smith of Chattanooga; two brothers, Olean and Charles Wooten, both of Chattanooga; three stepdaughters and spouses, Pat and Morrison Hemphill of Auburn, Ala., Connie and Dave Ferguson of Harrison, Tenn., and Katie and Tim Swinney of Dalton; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

 The funeral to honor the life of Mr. Wooten will be at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home Sunday at 4 p.m.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the service hour at 4 p.m.

Burial will be at Grove Level Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Kimberlin, D. F. Sitton, Johnnie Yother, Barry Kincaid, Al Headrick and Bill Stafford.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to North Georgia Baptist Temple, 1623 Abutment Road, Dalton, GA 30721.
