Doyle “Skinny” Carroll, 66, of Chatsworth, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013.
Skinny enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and tinkering with antique cars.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pam Carroll; parents, Roy and Dollie Carroll; brothers, Fred, Leon, Robert and Dennis Carroll; and sisters, Betty Smith and Louise Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Carroll; sons and daughter-in-law, Edward Carroll, Lee Carroll, and Tony and Melea Carroll, all of Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Paul Taylor of Bluefield, W.Va.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Linda Carroll of Chatsworth, and Grady and Ruby Carroll of LaFayette; sisters, Reba Hamerick of Chatsworth, Ruby Byers of Dalton and Nancy Griggs of Dalton; grandchildren, Crystal Wheat, Amanda Akins, Amanda Carroll, Kayla Carroll, Wesley Taylor, Zackary Taylor and Christopher Carroll; six great-grandchildren; nephew, Michael Carroll; and many other extended family members.
Funeral services for Mr. Carroll will be today at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Brother Ed Matthews officiating.
The family will receive friends for an hour before the funeral.
Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the arrangements.
