Mrs. Gracie Lee Cronan, 72, of Oakman, departed this life Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Calhoun Health Care surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 20, 1941, in Calhoun, a daughter to the late Leonard and Delia Smith Wilson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Cronan; sister, Marie Andrews; and brothers-in-law, Lamar Sosebee and Wayne Andrews, and sisters-in-law Mary Wilson and Marie Wilson.
She was a longtime member of Concord Baptist Church.
Gracie is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Derrick and Cindy Cronan of Oakman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Sheila Wilson, Ben Wilson, Charles and Sandra Wilson, all of Calhoun, and Ernest Wilson of Chatsworth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jimmy Lou and Sammy Allen of Resaca, Katie Sosebee, Mary Lou and Lawrence Johnson of Calhoun. Gracie had one grandchild, Ashley Cronan, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Gracie Lee Cronan are today at 2 p.m. at the Calhoun Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Allen and the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with Samuel Allen, Doug Wilson, Steve Johnson, Nick Johnson and Allen Sosebee serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Johnson, David Allen and Chris Radcliff.
The family received friends Thursday at the funeral home.
