Ann Locklear Maples, 74, formerly of Dalton and a resident of Clarkston, Mich., and Los Angeles, Calif., beautiful spirit rose to heaven on Thursday, March 6, 2014, in California.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lura Locklear.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her 95-year-old cherished father, A.W. Locklear of Dalton; loving daughter and granddaughter, Marla Maples and Tiffany Trump, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; adoring fiance, Bob Whitton of Clarkston, Mich.; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Pat Locklear of Cohutta; nephews, Michael and Matt Locklear and wife Tamela; special great-nephews, Ethan and Tyler Locklear; former husband and friend in Christ, Stanley Maples of Cohutta and his loving daughter, Danielle Maples; and so many friends she held close to her heart.
The celebration of Ann’s life will be held today at 4 p.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Mullis and Pastor Shanon Hayes officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church today from 2 to 4 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Ann Maples Memorial Fund, c/o Regions Bank in Dalton.
Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Locklear, Matt Locklear, Eva Murray, Steve Locklear, Gary Carter and Tamela Locklear.
