Olpher Donald Blevins, 82, of Dalton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his father, mother, two daughters, one sister, and two brothers.
He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Beatrice Blevins of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Kaye Blevins of Chatsworth, Carole and Tim Verner of Epworth, Teresa and Charles Blaylock of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Tammy Blevins of Cohttta, Allen Blevins of Cohutta and Mike and Pam Blevins of Chatsworth; sisters, Geneva Armstrong of Detroit and Shirley Hollums of Dalton; grandchildren, Shawn Mulkey, Bridgette Harris, Tracy Blevins, Christy Jackson, Heather Jones, Magan Southers, Ragan Blevins, Michael Blevins and Cheyenne Blevins; 17 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service to honor Donald Blevins will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Monroe and the Rev. Tommy Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m.
