Bonnie Clayton, 81, of Cohutta, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard “Bud” Clayton; brothers, Leroy, Vance and J.R. Dunn; and sister, Ruby Culberson.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia and Cecil Reagan of Cleveland, and Tina Clayton of Cohutta; three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Brenda Clayton, Ronnie Clayton, and Charlie and Jayme Clayton, all of Cohutta; sister, Mildred Green of Ringgold; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Helen Dunn of Athens, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service to honor the life of Bonnie Clayton will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Following in the Footsteps Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Nick Bivens and the Rev. Preston Cronan officiating.
Burial will be in Bryant Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home today after 5 p.m.
