Mrs. Helen P. Suit, 79, of Dalton, departed this life Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at her home.
Helen was born Feb. 19, 1934, in Copperhill, Tenn., a daughter of the late Cutcher and Miney Conner Messer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cling A. Suit Jr.; daughter, Kim Luna; brothers, Carlton Messer and William Messer; and sisters, Ida McCoy and Elvira Cochran.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and David Terry of Chatsworth, Marie Bishop of Dalton, and Cherie Glassco and Tim Cross of Cohutta; son, Eddie Lynn Suit of Manchester, Ky.; brother and sister-in-law, Wildon and Kathy Messer of Columbia, Tenn.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy Yonn of Jacksonville, Fla., Othella and Jimmy Davis of Copperhill, Tenn., Lucille Belcher of Nashville, Tenn., and Lottie and Clay Hensley of Ellijay; grandchildren, Tim Elder, James Elder, Gregory Whitmire, Matthew Suit, Zane Luna, Christina Jumper, Josh Bishop and Caitlyn Glassco; and great-grandchildren, Dominic Blaine and Cadence Jumper.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Helen P. Suit will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Walter Hare officiating.
Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m.
