Glenn Swilling, 67, of Cohutta, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Dillingham Swilling, and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Swilling was a member of Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise.
Glenn is survived by his wife, DeAnna Swilling of the residence; son, Chris Jones of Cohutta; father, Trenton Swilling of Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Jimmy Pratt of Dalton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and JoAnn Swilling of Cohutta, Dee and Wanda Swilling, David and Sharon Swilling, all of Dalton, Tim and Sandie Swilling of Rossville, Craig and Kathy Swilling of Cohutta; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Albert and Charlotte Ledford of Cohutta, William Junior and Daris Ledford of Chatsworth, Dewayne Ledford of Cohutta and Judy Roach of Dalton, Jeff and Lori Whisenant and daughter Lacey of Varnell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy and Wallace Hall of Ringgold; grandchildren, Kristopher Singleton, Carson Freeman, Sylvia Jones, Tyler Jones; special friends, Deb Nation, Tommy Bryant Jr., Ralph, David and Glenn; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service to honor the life of Glenn Swilling is today at 4 p.m. at United Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Clayton Brown, the Rev. Todd Pence and Allan Hughey officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
