Ms. Rosie Larmon Allen, of Chatsworth, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at Hamilton Medical Center.
Rosie was born Jan. 11, 1941, in Dalton, a daughter of the late L.A. and Inez Manis Foster. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Kenneth and Brad Foster, and sisters, Nell Mitchell, Brenda Clark and Barbara Farris.
Rosie was a very strong willed person and loved to share stories with her family about all of her friends at the Chatsworth Health Care Center. She worked many years at the Meadow Gold Dairies and was a homemaker. Some of her most favorite times were singing “You Are My Sunshine” to her grandchildren. “Maw Maw” too many, we will miss you greatly.
She is survived by her children, Elaine Larmon Reed of Ringgold, and Wayne Larmon and Rick Larmon, both of Dalton; sister and caregiver, Arlene Noland of Chatsworth; brother, David Foster of Cleveland, Tenn.; grandchildren, Corey Larmon, Sarah, Elyssa, and Marielle Reed, and Morgan and Molly Holmes; special nieces, Melissa Preston and Tonja Puryear of Chatsworth, and Ellen Young of Dalton; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Rosie Larmon Allen will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Rev. Joey Wheat officiating.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m.
