Mrs. Viola Crider Caldwell, 92, of Dalton, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at her residence. Thanks to Hamilton Hospice for their special loving care of our mother.
She was born in Fletcher, Okla., daughter of the late William H. and Georgia Pullen Crider on June 21, 1921, and wife of the late Hoyte Caldwell, they were married on Dec. 18, 1938.
Other family members that preceded her in death include a brother, Mitchell Crider; sisters, Bessie Harden, Pearl Randolph and Allene Dunn; grandson, Gearld Ingle; daughter-in-law, Mary Carolyn Caldwell, and a son-in-law, Paul Ingle.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Jean Ingle, Carol and Jerry Jacks, all of Dalton; son, Kendall Caldwell of Dalton; grandchildren, Dennis Caldwell, Lester Caldwell, Philip Ingle, Jill Steele, Wendy Bearden; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Danielle, Sadie and Faith Ingle, Kendra Caldwell, Brandi Rittenhouse, Michaela and Adam Masucci, Emma, Jade and Kate Bearden; sisters and brother-in-law, Joyce and Tommy Wilson of Chattanooga, Charlene Lewis of McDonald, Tenn., Jimmie Lou Peden of Crandall; several nieces and nephews.
Services were Monday at 2 p.m. from Olivia Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Ellis, the Rev. Wayne Marcus and the Rev. Bruce Beach officiating. Interment will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family received friends at the funeral home Monday.
