Melessia Kay Withrow Ball

Melessia Kay Withrow Ball, 55, of Dalton, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014, at her residence in Dawnville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Burley Withrow.

She was a member of Rock Bridge Community Church, a follower of Jesus Christ, a dedicated homemaker, a mother to all the children in her life and a business owner.

Melessia was a faithful and loving wife, married to Tim Ball for 34 years. She was also a caring mother to both of her dear children who deeply loved her: her daughter Katy Marcelli and her husband Aaron of Dalton, and her son, Miller Ball, who lives in Ooltewah, Tenn., and is married to his wife Courtney who together, by God’s grace, blessed Melessia with the grandchildren she had prayed for: Lily Faith, Ella Ruth and Charles Avery Ball. Her children and grandchildren brought her great joy as she loved having tea parties and play dates with her kids.

She was also survived by her mother, Betty Withrow of Arcadia, Fla.; sister, Renata Dunn of Chatsworth; brothers, Clinton Withrow of Chatsworth, Casper Withrow of Ringgold and Chris Withrow of Dalton; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Ball will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Rock Bridge Community Church, Stage 123, with the Rev. Rodney Henderson and the Rev. Alfred Turley officiating.

Burial will be at West Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Withrow, Chad Withrow, Patrick Dunn, Cody Withrow, Cameron Withrow, Justin Hefner and Tyler Hefner.

The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home today from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Rock Bridge Community Church, Stage 123.
