I would like to say thank you for Mr. Millican’s article on the Bible.

The results of the survey were very interesting but not surprising to me, because I lived it. I was raised in church all my childhood and when I reached my older teen years I rebelled against God and his word.

During that time in my life I knew that God’s word had the answers, but I finally reached the time when the troubles in my life outweighed my will to live rebellious. I not only picked up the Bible and read it, I also found a church to go and hear it being preached (1 Corinthians 1:18: “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” Also, 1 Corinthians 1:21: “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”)

So then after I heard the preaching of the word I knew by God and his wisdom what to do about my reckless life, and even after my knowledge of God and his word, I still rebelled at points in my life, and still the only thing that would bring me comfort was to get back to the word and church.

The thing is not to give up on God and his word. I still have trouble with sin, the difference is I don’t enjoy it when I sin.
