Leon Horace Welch

Mr. Leon Horace Welch, 70, of Chatsworth, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at his residence.

Mr. Welch was a member of Free Hope Baptist Church and a Mason at the Eton Masonic Lodge 509.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Betty Welch.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel Ridley Welch of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Leona Welch; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Kathy Welch, Larry and Debbie Welch; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Eddie Shamoon, Cathy and Gerald Kirby; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.    

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Welch will be Friday at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Self officiating. Interment will be in Murray Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends today from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
