Letter: Support appreciated

— The recent article “Collaboration offers internships, jobs for adults with disabilities” highlighted the Project SEARCH program. It’s a great example of collaboration and partnership that take place across our community to help those in need.

When Shaw hosted the SEARCH for Success showcase for its interns in October, several other organizations played an important role in the success of that event. Ashton Staffing, Belk, Jim’s Clothing, the Northwest Georgia College and Career Academy, Special Occasions, Tease Salon and Walmart each made donations to make the event possible. On behalf of Shaw, Cross Plains Community Partner, the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency and the participants in Project SEARCH, we appreciate their support.
