Letter: Drive-through trick-or-treat set again for Rocky Face

Bradberry Hill Road, in Rocky Face, is too dark and dangerous for children to walk. We wanted to create a safe place for children to experience the fun of Halloween without all the ghouls and gore. We invite car loads of trick-or-treaters to pull through our driveway that circles through jack-o-lantern-filled woods and then back out on the main road.

Over the years neighbors have joined us. Local schools, day care centers, Boy and Girl Scouts, as well as individuals, donate pumpkins to create more pumpkin magic each Halloween. We take plain pumpkins, gloriously carved creations and even soft, squishy disasters. Once lit with candlelight in the dark they all are amazing.

We are gearing up for the 7th Annual Pumpkin Drive-Through in Rocky Face this Halloween night from 5:30 to 9. The address is 2705 Bradberry Hill Road. This is a drive-through only. No walking allowed. There is no charge. Donations of pumpkins and candles are always welcome.
