Deer hunters invited to live chat online before season's start

Georgia’s deer firearms season begins Saturday, and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division invites hunters to join state deer biologist Charlie Killmaster for a live chat 3 p.m. Thursday at georgiawildlife.com/livechat.

Killmaster will cover many topics, give his forecast for the season, provide tips for success and answer questions live during the broadcast. Email your questions to wrdinfo@dnr.state.ga.us with the subject line “Deer Season Live Chat.”

The chat will last approximately 30 minutes, and Killmaster will address as many questions as possible during the broadcast. If Killmaster is unable to get to your question in the allotted time, he will do his best to respond to you individually via email.

Don’t forget to make sure you’re ready for the season by purchasing or renewing your Georgia hunting license and getting your free 2013 deer harvest record at georgiawildlife.com/licenses-permits-passes.

You can learn more about the 2013-2014 deer hunting season in Georgia at georgiawildlife.com/hunting/regulations. A short version of Charlie’s deer season forecast is available at youtube.com/GeorgiaWildlife.
