Area Arrests

• Nichele Lee Bolton, 22, 13-D Pleasant Valley Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Fletcher James Burkett, 27, 4230 Spring Valley Drive, Cohutta, was charged Thursday by the Varnell Police Department with DUI, driving on divided highway, speeding, failure to maintain lane (two counts), fleeing, too fast for conditions, reckless driving, aggressive driving and child support arrest order.

• Anthony Wayne Harding, 30, 1468 U.S. Highway 41 N., Calhoun, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Jason Linares, 19, 110 Cochran Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, giving false information, felony probation violation, speeding and driving without a valid license.

• Todd Christopher McNair, 29, 1954 Collins Road, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with burglary, entering auto with intent to commit a crime and first degree arson.

• Mario Alonzo Miranda, 33, 1317 Applewood Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with aggravated stalking and willful obstruction of law officers.

• Tammy Lejuan Morgan, 45, 171 Newberry Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Varnell Police Department with possession of methamphetamine and speeding.

• Bobby Joe Stephens, 54, 110 Jessie St., No. 5, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Varnell Police Department with property transfer violation, possession of methamphetamine and child support arrest order.

• Vance Lamar Wallin, 30, 510 Bradley Ave., Lafayette, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Steve Junior Wilcox, 36, 632 Marble St., Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, headlight violation and tag violation.

• Phyllis Ann Young, 41, 458 S. Second Ave., Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Varnell Police Department with possession of meth (two counts), possession of tools for the commission of a crime (two counts), giving false information and felony probation violation.

• Robert Joseph Amszynski, 51, 4975 4975 Donny Brook Lane, Douglasville, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Licende Gomez, 22, 200 Ohio Drive, Cedartown, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with trafficking in meth.

  • Police: Gun fired, man arrested following dispute on Morris Street (Updated 12:20 p.m.)

    A man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after firing a gun following a dispute at A-1 Towing at 1502 E. Morris St. in Dalton this morning, police said.

    Bond hearings for Fernando Resendiz and Jovencio Vega-Garcia, charged with murder and aggravated assault in connection with the fatal shooting of a security guard at Las Delicias on Morris Street in Dalton, have been canceled.

  • Suspect Photo 2.jpg DPD seeks identity of credit card theft suspects

    The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects who used a stolen credit card on March 31 to make purchases at two locations in Dalton. One of the suspects was captured on surveillance video at a gas station and the second suspect was described to investigators by witnesses.
