• Nathan Lee Baine, 32, 152 Bearden Road, Rocky Face, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with false imprisonment.

• Kathie Elaine Brown, 55, 1814 Lawson Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of meth, attempt or conspiracy to commit felony violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act and possession of meth.

• Rigoberto Gomez-Rodriguez, 33, 17 Nicholas Lane, Cartersville, was placed on hold Thursday at the Whitfield County jail for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

• Eddie Weston Hester, 61, 194 Liberty Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Tyler Dean Mussaw, 19, 8035 Ga. Highway 225 N., Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Eton Police Department with underage consumption, an open container violation, DUI and improper passing at a railroad crossing.

• Brandon Nicholas O’Shields, 22, 184 Watkins Way, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with failure to keep drugs in original container.

• Mario Ramirez-Velasquez, 34, 654 Slusser Ave., Cedartown, was placed on hold Thursday at the Whitfield County jail for ICE.

• Juan Manuel Resendiz-Yanez, 26, 230 Easterling St., Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony failure to appear.

• Johnathon Michael Roberts, 31, 2008 Ridgemond Drive N.E., Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and willful obstruction of law officers.

• Marcos Francisco Silva-Perez, 18, 738 Reed Pond Road, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with use of communication facilities in drug transactions; furnishing, purchasing or possession of alcohol by a minor; possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony; and criminal attempt to commit a felony.

• Nicholas Zachery Vandiver, 40, 201 S. Fourth Ave., Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation and obstruction of an officer by threat or violence.

• Buddy Lamar Williams, 40, 344 Mason Road, Crandall, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault.

• Salvador Deltoro, 64, 1006 Francis St., Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Matthew Hudgins Shelby, 26, 1818 Brady Drive-2, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and running a red light.

  • Suspect in custody, will be taken to hospital for evaluation (Updated 9:35 p.m.)

    A man who reportedly barricaded himself on the second floor of a two-story building at 1029 S. Hamilton St. in Dalton, believed to have been armed, is now in custody and is on his way to the hospital for evaluation, officials said.
