Area arrests

• Dustin Matthew Cox, 28, 183 Keeter Road, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with sale or intent to sell marijuana, use of communication facilities in drug transactions, possession of marijuana and reckless conduct.

• Jordan Britney Craig, 23, 106 Peerless Avenue, Chattanooga, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of a Schedule 4 drug, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Patricia Dianne Godfrey, 44, 1932 Riverbend Road-A, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, theft by conversion, failure to maintain lane and driving too fast for conditions.

• Randy Lee Capehart, 47, 401 Barbara Ave.-B, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with aggravated assault and terroristic threats and acts.

• Tracy Ann Pigeon, 46, 109 Jeep St.-6, Calhoun, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with trafficking in methamphetamine, a windshield and wiper violation and no tag light.

• Matthew Dale Marker, 18, Colonial Heights Apartments-123, Calhoun, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with trafficking in methamphetamine.

• John Andrew Michael Wilson, 39, 221 Nashville St., Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with giving a false name, address or date of birth to a law officer.

  • Police: Gun fired, man arrested following dispute on Morris Street (Updated 12:20 p.m.)

    A man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after firing a gun following a dispute at A-1 Towing at 1502 E. Morris St. in Dalton this morning, police said.
