Area arrests

• Jon Kevin Allen, 44, 1075 Prater’s Mill Road, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with sale of meth.

• Emmanuel Louis Blanding, 21, 1131 Carnica Road, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with sale or intent to sell marijuana.

• Mitchell Steed Cope, 35, 2911 Highway 225 S., Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with obstruction of an officer.

• Lavosia Alexandria Haggard, 26, 3704 W. Avenue B, Chattanooga, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by deception and ID theft fraud.

• Donna Rachell Hawkins, 40, 550 Vess Road, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of drug-related objects.

• Dennis James Herndon, 48, 204 N. Henderson St., Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• William Perry Hudson, 44, 550 Vess Road, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of drug-related objects.

• Latasha S. Love, 38, 1110 Underwood St., Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with sale of cocaine.

• Donna Larene Melton, 51, 709 Crane Way, Tunnel Hill, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI.

• Roy Albert Runyon, 24, 418 N. Spencer St., No. 2, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with entering an automobile with intent to commit theft or felony, simple battery (family violence), cruelty to a child (allowing to see or hear committing battery, felony or family violence), automobile theft, criminal attempt to commit a misdemeanor, driving without a valid license, running a red light, hit and run, reckless driving, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and speeding.

• Quentin Leslie Bowen Sr., 48, 101 Adair St., Calhoun, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Joseph Michael Creger, 27, 1553 Highway 225 S., Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Jesus Revilla, 28, 1345 Village Oak Circle, Cleveland, Tenn., was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with driving without a valid license, DUI and failure to maintain lane.

  • Police: Gun fired, man arrested following dispute on Morris Street (Updated 12:20 p.m.)

    A man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after firing a gun following a dispute at A-1 Towing at 1502 E. Morris St. in Dalton this morning, police said.
