Area arrests

• Armando Campos, 25, 1775 Sane Road, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with battery against a pregnant female, felony probation violation, willful obstruction of law officers, failure to appear, reckless driving, fleeing or attempting elude a police officer, impeding the flow of traffic, failure to maintain lane, laying drag or reckless conduct with an automobile and driving while license is suspended or revoked.

• Olivia Mechelle Craig, 31, 1103 Sumach Church Road, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth, possession of a drug-related object, driving while license is suspended or revoked, DUI, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and a headlights violation.

• Christopher Jon Daffron, 30, 3416 Ga. Highway 225 S., Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth and possession of a drug-related object.

• George Jerry Freeman Jr., 44, 2651 Foxmore Circle, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault.

• Jose Carlos Lerma-Catarino, 56, 227 Carol Joyce Drive S.E., Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Christopher Adam Rogers, 26, 209 Oakstone Way, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault, no insurance and failure to stop at a stop sign.

• Jason Land Sanford, 33, 1804 Shadow Lane, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with battery.

• Rogelio Silva-Escobedo, 27, 1908 Sanford Road, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with battery and second degree criminal damage to property.

• Amber Diane Biggs, 20, 2723 Old Chattanooga Road, Rocky Face, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with burglary.

• Chasity Hope Fox, 23, 1517 Roosevelt Drive, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of a schedule 4 substance, driving without a valid license, failure to maintain lane and a tire violation.

• Heath Alan Taylor, 38, 935 Green Hill Drive, Rossville, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of meth and possession of a drug-related object.

  • Police: Gun fired, man arrested following dispute on Morris Street (Updated 12:20 p.m.)

    A man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after firing a gun following a dispute at A-1 Towing at 1502 E. Morris St. in Dalton this morning, police said.

  • Bond hearings canceled for two charged in murder case

    Bond hearings for Fernando Resendiz and Jovencio Vega-Garcia, charged with murder and aggravated assault in connection with the fatal shooting of a security guard at Las Delicias on Morris Street in Dalton, have been canceled.
