Area arrests

• Charles Todd Stafford, 43, 861 Beaverdale Road, Crandall, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and driving while license is suspended or revoked.

• Sheri Dennise Ali, 35, 1144 Red Bud Road-804, Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of opium.

• Michael Paul Finnegan, 33, 2247 Sam Haunt Road, Fairmount, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth to distribute, trafficking in meth (possession) and possession of meth.

• Kerri Diane Nichols, 28, 3937 Airport Road, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth to distribute; manufacture or possession to distribute an imitation controlled substance; trafficking in meth (possession); possession of meth; giving a false name, address or date of birth to a law officer; reckless driving; fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer; and driving without a valid license.

• Radnor Mark Prunier, 49, 6561 U.S. Highway 411 N., Crandall, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession to distribute meth and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Christopher Lee Younes Jr., 33, 101 Kilby Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with willful obstruction of law officers, shoplifting, felony probation violation and criminal trespass of property without permission.

• Adrian Perez-Valenzula, 18, 1101 Frazier Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and a headlights violation.

• Mari Wilene Poteet, 59, 243 Blanchard Way, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of a schedule 3, 4 or 5 drug and sale of meth.

• Timothy Richard Underwood, 53, 115 Cox Road-5, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of a barbiturate and giving a false name, address or date of birth to a law officer.
