Area arrests

• Delaina Starr Beene, 35, 701 Fourth Ave., No. 15, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with fourth-degree forgery.

• Peggy Sue Calhoun, 43, 1302 Moice Drive, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with theft by shoplifting and possession of meth.

• John Ruven Isenhower, 50, 3795 Brock Road, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and running a red light.

• Ronnie Lee Turner, 43, 4003 Tibbs Bridge Road, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with theft by shoplifting and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Jerry Cleveland Baskin, 62, 370 Lyman Drive, Marietta, was charged Sunday by the Eton Police Department with DUI and failure to drive within a single lane.

• Milton Joey Griffin, 43, 255 Charger Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with theft by shoplifting, burglary, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, willful obstruction of law officers, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, reckless driving, driving without a valid license, impeding the flow of traffic, a headlights violation, failure to maintain lane, driving on the wrong side, failure to yield when entering a crossing or roadway, improper lane change or usage and failure to report an accident resulting in injury, death or property damage.

• Dickie Lee Haynes, 45, 473 Corvette Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with theft by shoplifting and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Leslie Keith Nichols Jr., 32, 593 Piney Hill Road, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, obstruction of an officer, driving with a suspended or revoked license, driving while unlicensed, reckless driving, feeling or attempting to elude a police officer, failure to drive within a single lane and failure to stop for a stop sign.

• Benito Quiros, 41, 2822 Gregory Place, No. 8, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with simple assault and cruelty to a child (allowing to witness felony, battery or family violence).

• Christopher Eric Wills, 36, 99 Henry Gallman Road, Resaca, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
