Area arrests

• James Curtis Adkins, 30, 142 Jocelyn Way, Rocky Face, was charged Saturday by Georgia State Patrol with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, DUI, an open container violation and failure to maintain a lane.

• Kimberly Ann Cannon, 40, 1486 Cobb Road, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Eton Police Department with a brake lights and turn signal violation and DUI.

• Douglas Charles Pritchett, 43, 420 Cattleman Drive-B, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Varnell Police Department with simple battery (family violence) and four counts of cruelty to a child in the third degree (allow to witness felony, battery or family violence).

• Tyler James Ridley, 25, 100 Wheat St., Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by Georgia State Patrol with DUI.

• Eden Shea Rossello, 32, 1116 Edwin Lane, Chattanooga, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of meth, possession and use of drug-related objects and an open container violation.

• Samuel Allington Stout, 67, 4156 Highway 225 North, Lot 70, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with driving while license suspended or revoked, habitual violator, open container in vehicle, DUI and failure to drive within a single lane.

• Gabriel Faye Warren, 21,1914 Heathcliff Drive, No. 6, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI.

• Joseph Junior Franklin, 49, 309 Patricia Lane, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, failure to maintain a lane and driving while license suspended or revoked.

• Tyler Lincoln Gadd, 20, 206 Oak Stone Way Northwest, Dalton, was charged Sunday by Georgia State Patrol with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Jeffery Wayne Headrick, 23, 1458 Tennga Gregory Road, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Eton Police Department with DUI, endangering a child under the age of 14 and failure to drive within a single lane.

• William Herman Jones, 47, 2411 Polaski Highway, Columbia, Tenn., was charged Sunday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, driving while license suspended or revoked and  failure to maintain lane.

• Apolonio Mendez-Acuna, 30,1500 Echota Place, No. 32, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, failure to appear, driving while license is suspended or revoked and failure to maintain a lane.

• William Christopher Wright, 41, 2699 Dug Gap Road, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with theft by receiving a stolen vehicle.

  • Police: Gun fired, man arrested following dispute on Morris Street (Updated 12:20 p.m.)

    A man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after firing a gun following a dispute at A-1 Towing at 1502 E. Morris St. in Dalton this morning, police said.

  • Bond hearings canceled for two charged in murder case

    Bond hearings for Fernando Resendiz and Jovencio Vega-Garcia, charged with murder and aggravated assault in connection with the fatal shooting of a security guard at Las Delicias on Morris Street in Dalton, have been canceled.

  • Suspect Photo 2.jpg DPD seeks identity of credit card theft suspects

    The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects who used a stolen credit card on March 31 to make purchases at two locations in Dalton. One of the suspects was captured on surveillance video at a gas station and the second suspect was described to investigators by witnesses.
