Area arrests

• Carolee Boes, 47, 12864 Highway 411 North, Crandall, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with being a fugitive from justice.

• Edward Lee Fowler, 24, 679 Dead End Road, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Erica Faye Griffin, 25, 395 Dogwood Circle, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of cocaine and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Julia Anne Rousselle, 65, 1913 Mill Creek Road, Rocky Face, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, failure to maintain lane and fleeing/attempting to elude a police officer.

• Michael Dale Strickland, 42, 304 Sparks Lane, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Charles A. Sturdivant, 38, 568 Thompson Hill Road, Ringgold, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with being a fugitive from justice.

• John Wells, 20, 1009 Georgia Drive, Calhoun, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of alcohol by a minor.

• Selena Elisabeth Young, 29, 135 Narrows Road, Trion, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with felony shoplifting.

• Jerry Lamar Bramblett, 41, 176 Mountain Oak Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Grayson Jarred Gregory, 25, 1011 Trammel St. No. 3, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Lisette Lopez, 24, 828 Frazier Ave., Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Jacob Rice, 21, 232 Pack Road NE, Ranger, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Shannon Sikes, 33, 440 Old Country Road No. 608, Cedar Bluff, Ala., was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and open container.

  • Suspect in custody, will be taken to hospital for evaluation (Updated 9:35 p.m.)

    A man who reportedly barricaded himself on the second floor of a two-story building at 1029 S. Hamilton St. in Dalton, believed to have been armed, is now in custody and is on his way to the hospital for evaluation, officials said.
