Area arrests

• Jesse David Clem Jr., 27, 560 Bob White Trail, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Chatsworth Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Judson Samuel Cudd, 31, 1012 Ponderosa Lane-A, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with cruelty to a child, misdemeanor probation violation and felony probation violation.

• Chris Phillips, 50, 74 Yates Spring Road, Ringgold, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI.

• Andrew Allen Sizemore, 36, 50 Pinson Lane, Chickamauga, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI (multiple substances) and improper backing.

• Timothy Robert Stratton, 33, 1350 Second St., Cleveland, Tenn., was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI (drugs); disorderly conduct; giving a false name, address or date of birth to a law officer; use of license plate to conceal identity of vehicle; no insurance; driving while license is suspended or revoked; and operating a motor vehicle while registration is suspended, revoked or canceled.

• Clayton Charles Mashburn, 20, 1205 Wimpy Road, Ringgold, was charged Tuesday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, failure to maintain lane, driving while license is suspended or revoked and furnishing, purchase or possession of alcohol by a minor.

• James Lamar Maulden, 29, 33 Birchwood Drive, Ellijay, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of hydrocodone, possession of Gabapentin and failure to keep drugs in original container.

• Kenneth Johnathan Quarles, 24, 3920 Harless St., Greenwood, S.C., was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with battery (family violence, first offense), possession of meth and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Kenneth Lamar Quarles, 51, 910 Liddell St., Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with battery (family violence, first offense).

• Scott Parmer Reed, 37, 2277 Pine Meadows, Tucker, was charged Tuesday by the Georgia State Patrol with trafficking in sales of meth, use of communication facilities in drug transactions and possession of tools for the commission of crime (burglary).
