Area arrests for April 5

DALTON — • Joseph Lisbon Johnson, 49, 113 Creekwood Drive, Bonaire, was charged Sunday by the Georgia State Patrol with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and speeding.

• Roger Dale Lovain, 56, 405 Harper Drive, Tunnel Hill, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of methamphetamine, terroristic threats and acts, criminal trespass, a tire violation, operating a vehicle with an expired registration, removing or affixing the license plate to conceal identity, driving without a license, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer and two counts of failure to maintain lane.

  • Police: Gun fired, man arrested following dispute on Morris Street (Updated 12:20 p.m.)

    A man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after firing a gun following a dispute at A-1 Towing at 1502 E. Morris St. in Dalton this morning, police said.
